Last Friday Nick and I went to a wonderful party hosted by Natalie of Hello Darling. She has a sweet little space on Paulina and Grand. Natalie asked us to snap a few pictures, which of course we were happy to do. There are many great photographers out there, so we were honored to do it. The vintage prints by Maurince Seymour were very beautiful. And quite inspiring, as the season kicks off.








Many of our favorite vendors were there including planners Ali, Alexandra, Renny.

Alice Padrul - Behind the Scenes

This past weekend was an exciting weekend! We worked with another West Loop wedding vendor; dress designer Alice Padrul, on her print ad campaign for the 3rd year in a row. She has some great new designs, many of which are going to be carried by dress boutiques nationwide! We had a wonderful time working with everyone involved to get stunning photographs for Alice. For those brides still in the dress shopping phase: you aren't done until you've gone to see her! Thanks for 3 great years, Alice! Also, thanks to Eunita for such great work on the hair and makeup/styling!

The Knot, best of weddings 2008 pick

For the second year in a row, we have been named one of The Knot's best of weddings! We are honored to receive three stars for 'above and beyond.' Across the board, Brides told The Knot, that they loved our 'creative style' and 'unobtrusive' manner when taking photos.

Lizzie + Trevor

This Saturday Lizzie and Trevor tied the knot at one of our favorite wedding venues, A New Leaf! There was no stopping them (or us) in the pursuit of awesome pictures and we even went to North Ave Beach, fighting gail force winds and the threat of snow in order to get the shot! It also happened to be Trevor's birthday so he'll never forget his anniversary. Also, what better birthday present than a wife?! Congratulations Lizzie and Trevor!

This past Saturday, we got to work at the Union League Club of Chicago with Nichole and Justin! It turns out that they've been dating for over 10 years so the Union League was the perfect choice for the couple because it also has so much history! The party lasted long into the night with the Glen Traeger Orchestra rocking the house.

The last time the New York Knicks were in town, Fred Jones (guard) and his fiancé Kia Johnson came in to do their engagement session with Mike! Here are some highlights from the shoot. Congratulations Kia and Fred!

  

 

Breakfast for the Bride

On Saturday we had the pleasure of being apart of the Breakfast for the Bride event at Erin Gallagher's shop, hosted by Kiki Reef. Mary from Toast&Jam brought some fun tunes. Kieffer and Lizz represented the studio and shot some fabulous photos of the goings on. Plus they got to meet Steven Rosengard of Project Runway! Julie Ferrell is having a baby.

I had the pleasure of making some pregnancy portraits of Julia Ferrell. She was referred to us by another one of our G+S clients. Julia is an event planner at a chicago law firm. Her husband Grant Ferrell works as an investment banker at JP Morgan.

        We spent this past Saturday in the studio and on location around Chicago. It was alot of fun. I am excited
