We love winter weddings! The combination of the cold weather accessories (white uggs, and fur stolls) and snow adds a whole other element of personality. Not only was the weather ideal (photographically speaking), but the combination was classic: Old Saint Patrick's Cathedral + The Newberry Library.

City Hall Wedding

We don't usually get a chance to shoot weddings at City Hall, but we had a great time with Milos and Neda this last Saturday.  After their intimate ceremony with immediate family, we took some photos outside on the way to the studio for some more fun shots.  They are going to throw a gigantic party in Europe this summer...

       

Yana & Lenny

Last month, on one of the coldest day of the year, Mike and Belen shot a wedding at The Peninsula. The bride, Yana was simply beautiful! Everything went smoothly, and without a hitch. We made some really romantic pictures of Yana and Lenny without even leaving the hotel. Just shows that you don't need the summer sun to make a wonderful day!

Mexico's Pacific Coast

Why isn't it warm yet?

If you're asking yourself this same question, take a look at the photos Melody took while in Mexico last month. She traveled the Pacific Coast by bus and rental car, and was able to visit Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, Los Cocos, and San Blas.

On monday we were fortunate to be part of Bridal Chic at the James Hotel. Organized by Katie Kozlowski one of our very good friends we exhibited as well as shot the event. In the company of some of Chicago's Premier Wedding Vendors brides were treated to champagne and hors d'oeuvres, free makeovers courtesy of Beauty on Call and the brash tunes of Chicago's most beautiful DJ company Toast and Jam. The event, also encouraged brides to trade in their old bridesmaid dresses to be reused as prom dresses because everybody deserves to look great at prom.

Chris & Asune's wedding

Last Saturday, in what seemed like the last nice day of 2008, Lizz and Emily had the great pleasure of shooting Asune and Chris's wedding. The ceremony and the reception were both held at Independence Grove's Nature Center. To say that a good time was had by all is an understatement! At Lizz's request, Chris took off his shoes and socks and splashed around in the pond! And Asune just rolled with it. Thanks guys for making it such a wonderful day!


Chris had some nice words for us as well....
"Besides the photos, you and Emily were probably the coolest heads throughout the day, easily winning the 'most patient' award. Asune and I have both discussed how you two were so unobtrusive, calm and just easy to be with. (This was no surprise).

Secondly, speaking of the photos, the slideshow you sent was amazing! Asune and I cried tears of joy (yes, I keep crying, I know, it's a weakness) at the beautiful images you captured, and we are thrilled with your work. We are proud to say your images will help us remember a beautiful day just the way it lives in our memories."
