Rose and Patrick Gallagher's Old St Patricks Peninsula Wedding

A few weeks ago, Rose and Patrick tied the knot on a mild spring day in Chicago. Due to a simple twist of fate, Rose's maiden name is Gallagher, and Patrick's last name is Gallagher. She's from the north side and he's from the south side. So as Rose's dad put it, this wedding was the coming together of the two Gallagher clans of Chicago. We met up with the lovely couple at the Peninsula before heading off to Old St Pats for the ceremony.  After a few pictures at Adler and the AIC south garden we headed back to the Peninsula. The room was decked out with beautiful flower arraignments designed by Hello Darling. Roberto of Monastero Entertainment provided the rockin' tunes. Julie Valdez made sure the bride stayed beautiful all night. And our good friend, Darcey of Big City Brides kept the whole event running smoothly. Thanks to Rose and Patrick for letting us be part of their special day!

Betsy & Jamie

Photobucket

Betsy and Jamie had the perfect weather for the perfect day! We met them at the Cheney Mansion in Oak Park, where Betsy got dressed. The grounds were in full bloom, all the cherry trees were a perfect pink. From there we went off to St Luke's Church in River Forest for the ceremony. There was a surprise bag piper to lead the bride and groom from the church and into the beautiful evening. The reception was held at the Butterfield Country Club, where the room was transformed into a spring garden, filled with tulips and flowering trees.

We were so happy to be able to work with some of our favorite vendors, including Ken and Mike from Poetic Productions, Heather and Katherine from Greatest Expectations, and Natalie Walsh from Hello Darling.

Thanks to all the great vendors for making the day go smoothly!

Hello Darling, Hello Macy's!

Natalie Walsh, from Hello Darling, showcased her work in the cosmetics section of Macy's on State Street. The display was nothing short of a show stopper.
Unfortunately, Natalie's display is no longer up, but keep eyes open for her display next year!

The Knot!

Gerber+Scarpelli has again been honored by the Knot and has a featured wedding by our very own Nick Gerber in the newest regional magazine. It's always great to see your name in print, but it's especially special when it's a client that was an absolute blast to work with. It's also significant to note that we wouldn't have gotten the feature were it not the other great vendors that put their blood, sweat, and tears into making the wedding gorgeous. Not to mention it was at The Chicago History Museum, which makes our job easy!

Thanks again to everyone and a special thanks to Natasha and Matt for being such a pleasure to work with!!!

Shai & Tek

On June 20th, we shot one of the craziest weddings yet this season. All that Shai and Tek wanted to do on their wedding day was have a blast. And that is what we did! After the ceremony, it was off the the Botanic Gardens and Glenco Beach for some fun in the sun. Their reception was nonstop! All the groomsmen shaved one leg for the wedding games, and Shai tossed her bouquet through her legs! With some of the best vendors in the city, including Hello Darling and Ben Mahoney, the wedding went off without a hitch. Thanks guys for let us tag along!
