Catherine and Nick

Summer in Chicago is magical. Clear blue skies, beautiful sunsets, and tons of parties! Catherine and Nick captured all the magic on their wedding day. They were married at Old St Pats. After the ceremony we stopped for a few pictures at Union Station and the Chicago Theatre. As the light was getting long over downtown, we headed up to Germania Place in the heart of the Gold Coast. Toast and Jam kept the party movin' and grovin'. Laura from The Ideal Day made sure everything ran smoothly. Who could ask for a more perfect party!

Jasmine & Joshua's Hotel Monaco Wedding

So much fun and joy radiates from this wedding!  Jasmine and Joshua had a beautiful and personal winter wedding at Hotel Monaco.  After getting ready, their friends and family joined them for an intimate ceremony.  Then, the Bride and Groom, along with their wedding party, braved the cold and did some photos outside along the Chicago River!  Their reception was a blast; Toast and Jam rocked the house!

Blissful Wishes Ball

For the 3rd year in a row, we have been invited to photograph the Blissful Wishes Ball.  The ball is a fundraiser for Wish Upon a Wedding, which is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness and serious life altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation.  The organization was created to celebrate the courage, determination and spirit of these couples by granting their dream wedding Wishes. Their hope is that chosen recipients can inspire other couples facing similar situations to find hope and strength.

Gerber+Scarpelli was one of the original participants to be "wish-granters"- we provided the photography for a lovely couple, Beth and Nick.  You can see their blog post here.

This year, our own Nick Gerber was nominated for the Shining Star Award, which recognizes wedding industry professionals that are philanthropic in the Chicago Wedding industry.  Previously, Kurt Gerber has won the award.

Michelle & Guillermo's History Museum Party

Michelle & Guillermo moved to San Diego a couple of years ago, but they knew they wanted to celebrate their wedding in Chicago. And what better place to recognize their Chicago History than the Chicago History Museum? They saw each other before their ceremony so they could get great pictures around the city that used to be their stomping ground, then we went off and got them married on the lovely back patio of the History Museum. After their ceremony they proceeded to party the night away!
Check out some of our favorite pictures below!
