Loveleen and Joe

With a bride whose name contains the word love in it, you know it is going to have a beautiful wedding, and this one did not disappoint. Loveleen and Joe's ceremony was held at the Sikh Temple in Palatine. After their nuptials we strolled around for some romantic shots on the temple grounds. They transformed the Marriot in Burr Ridge into a dreamscape of pinks and blues. The guests were kept entertained throughout the night with traditional dance performances. Once the dance floor opened, nobody was left in their seat, the DJ kept it hopping all night!

CS Interiors

The new CS Interiors is out and we are very excited! Rebecca Molinar, whose amazing work we have featured here before, has a profile about her collaboration with furniture designer, Bladon Connor. The project that brought them together was designing chairs for our very own Belen Aquino. Belen photographed Rebecca's work for the story too. Congrats guys!

Holly & Matt

Holly and Matt are getting married in Austin, Texas this Halloween! Kurt and Belen are flying all the way out to photograph their weekend of events. As you can see by these engagement photos, this couple is fun, hip, and into Abe Lincoln! Not only that, but Holly also works for a wonderful caterer here in Chicago, Behind the Scenes. Behind the Scenes is based in San Diego, and just opened a location on the North Side. They do social events, corporate events, sporting events, even the olympics. It's always fun for us to work with other people in the wedding industry, but just as much fun to work with those who aren't.

Keeping it in the Family

Here at Gerber+Scarpelli we love shooting the progression of a family. From the wedding day to new editions.

We've shot the weddings of two out of three Tsamoulos sisters.

We shot Tammy's daughter's first birthday a couple of years ago, and now we are making it a tradition.

Jacob turned one last weekend and Lizz was invited to capture the celebration, petting zoo, birthday cake and all.

Anne & Tom

Any of the photographers at Gerber+Scarpelli will tell you the same thing: our jobs are awesome because we get to work with people who are having the best days of their lives (so far, of course). It's impossible to have a bad day when you're hanging out with happy, fun people on their wedding day. This was especially true with Anne & Tom, who had a romantic Catholic ceremony in St. James Chapel at Quigley Preparatory Seminary before photos around the city and a reception at the Conrad Hotel downtown.

Lizz and Melody worked with the couple to capture moments that were elegant, funky, and all around pretty freakin' cute!

It was great to see Anne & Tom having a fun time during their ceremony. Little did the priest know, the newlyweds were giggling in excitement while his back was turned!

Shai & Tek

On June 20th, we shot one of the craziest weddings yet this season. All that Shai and Tek wanted to do on their wedding day was have a blast. And that is what we did! After the ceremony, it was off the the Botanic Gardens and Glenco Beach for some fun in the sun. Their reception was nonstop! All the groomsmen shaved one leg for the wedding games, and Shai tossed her bouquet through her legs! With some of the best vendors in the city, including Hello Darling and Ben Mahoney, the wedding went off without a hitch. Thanks guys for let us tag along!
