Vendor Highlight: Smitten Boutique and Magnificent Milestones.

Recently two powerhouses in the Chicago Wedding Scene have come together! Kara Underwood of Magnificent Milestones and Kirsten Martin of Smitten Boutique have teamed up to bring Chicago brides the ultimate in wedding details. From unique stationary to wedding party gifts they’re offering plenty of creative ways to put the finishing touches on your event.

They even have a “Wedding 101” class to help brides assess what they need and what’s a reasonable amount to spend for it. It’s also a good way for brides to pick each others brains and get great ideas to make their own parties extra special. Their front window alone, is enough to get any bride inspired.

Congratulations Kara and Kirsten on a great space filled with terrific ideas!

Kristin & Adam's Chicago Wedding

Kristin and Adam threw a beautiful fall wedding a few weeks ago. The couple tied the knot at Old Saint Patrick’s, and continued their celebration at the Park Hyatt later in the day.

Due to unpromising weather conditions, we headed over to Union Station for some pictures with the wedding party. Kristin had her heart set on going to North Ave. Beach, so we prepared for the worst and got the best. As we stepped off the trolley, clouds opened up, allowing the gorgeous fall sun to shine down. We all braved the chilly weather, to capture images in the amazing sunlight. When we called it a “wrap”, the sun tucked back in behind the clouds.

Less is more! Kristen transformed the Park Hyatt into an elegant venue, by only using Calla Lilies.

The dance floor was moving all night long!

We had a wonderful time with these two!

Bridal Market: Things we love!

A few weeks ago, Nick Gerber shot the Chicago Bridal Market. Here are a few things that we fell head over heals for!

Pockets in dresses! Especially bridesmaids dresses, so they can hold a lip gloss and a hanky.

Pretty details around the skirt.

Bubble hems!

Sweet heart tops!

So cute! We can't wait to see all these trends and more next season!

Erica & Jake: Save the Date

Mike shot Erica and Jake's engagement session over the summer. And they just sent us their save the date. It was such a surprise to see one of our pictures before we even opened the envelope. We love when our clients share with us the inventive ways they use our pictures! Thanks guys!

Tracy & Greg's Fall Festival

Tracy and Greg warmed up Chicago’s fall temperatures with their bright smiles, romantic chemistry and vibrant wedding.

Prior to the ceremony, the couple decided to see each other at Hinsdale Golf Club. We love when our couples buck the tradition of waiting to see each other for the first time walking going down the aisle. This makes for a more memorable and intimate moment. Also, in Tracy and Greg’s case, it allowed us to capture images of the wedding party on the golf course before sunset.

Kehoe did a tremendous job transforming the Hinsdale Golf Club’s ballroom into an autumn wonderland.

The Bob Filler Orchestra kept guests moving all night!

Marcy and Jennifer, of Great Events, did a wonderful job creating a truly stunning event.
