The Proposal: Andres got down on one knee at his apartment. He and Shea had just returned from a trip to Lake Geneva. Andres did it when Shea was least expecting it, as they had just gotten home and taken our coats off. The newly engaged couple celebrated afterward at Emmit's bar with Andres' work friends and then had a wonderful dinner at Tocco, where they went on their 2nd date.
The Wedding Day: The day began at the Blackstone with Shea and Andres getting ready. Shea's pretty makeup was done by Anjelica Bannos, her classic updo was by Timea at Red 7 Salon, florals by Marilyn at Across the Street, gown was Enzoani from Reddington Bridal, bridal jewelry by Bella Bleu, and her shoes were by Ivanka Trump. Her Bridesmaid's wore pretty green dresses by Alfred Angelo, while the Groom and Groomsmen wore Vera Wang by Men's Warehouse. Shea and Andres chose nto see each other before their ceremony at Holy Family Church. After their ceremony we took the newlyweds and their bridal party for a few quick group photographs down the street, then onto their trolley headed to the reception. We took a quick stop at Mario's Italian Lemonade, where a complete stranger bought Shea and Andres' their Italian Ice (sweet right?!) and we got to meet the owner Mario. After the wonderful cool treat we all continued on to Park Ridge Country Club for more photographs, cocktail hour featuring a Mariachi band and beautiful views of the greens. The reception highlights included a hilarious toast by the Best Man, a traditional Irish dance by the Bride, and the Bride's father cutting up the dance floor all night. Cake by Tag's Bakery, catering was done in house, and DJ was Rich Bednara of Essence Entertainment.
