Thanksgiving Baby

In 2008, Mike shot Brita and Rick’s wedding. The couple recently came back to have pictures taken of their daughter, Fiona May. Fiona was born on Thanksgiving, and needless to say is a beautiful baby. We love when our relationships with our clients lasts beyond the wedding day.

Congratulations Brita and Rick, and thank you for sharing Fiona!

Monkeying Around With Jamie & Josh

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of working with Jamie and Josh. We first met Jamie five years ago at her sister’s wedding, and also again this summer at Kendra and Ron’s wedding. Jamie’s love for animals, especially monkeys, led her to choose CafĂ© Brauer for her ceremony and reception.

With the help of Florie Saget, Jamie and Josh put together an all-star team of vendors: Stems, Blue Plate and us!

We love running into old clients at weddings! Here is Belen with two of her brides.

We had a great time with these two!

Lisa + Gordon Make Chicago Social Brides

We're very proud to announce that our very own father son team (Kurt + Nick) have gotten a wedding in Chicago's own CS Brides. We're always honored to see our names in print! CS Brides is a great resource for brides having their event in the Chicagoland area; full of great inspiration and resources. It was all made possible through the efforts of the Lisa and Gordon as well as their excellent team including planning and execution by Darcey from Big City Bride, Marta at Trump International Hotel and Tower, Flowers by K. La Designs, Music by Stitely Entertainment, and cake by Take the Cake. It's an honor to be in such fine company and we look forward to seeing all of them in the coming 2010 season! Thanks again to the editorial team at Chicago Social Brides!

Emily & Christian's October Wedding

Who thought one could fall in love while studying for the bar exam? Emily and Christian found themselves unable to concentrate on their books while studying at Starbucks, because they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other. Thankfully they both were able to buckle down and passed the exam, and soon after Christian popped the question.

The Emily and Christian tied the knot on a beautiful Saturday in October. After seeing each other for the first time, the couple and their wedding party hit the street for some city pictures.

The ceremony and reception took place in the contemporary Sofitel Hotel. Sandy Raphael and Flowers by Joseph did an amazing job with the decorations.

Oh, What a Night!

A few weeks ago we had the privilege of taking part in Lindsay and Jason’s wedding. The entire day was perfect, from the gorgeous couple, to the beautiful fall weather, and elegant Grand Ballroom at the Drake Hotel.

We were excited to see that one of the groomsmen was an old member of the G+S Team, Steve Barston.

Stems did a stunning job decorating the Grand Ballroom.

The Larry King Orchestra kept guests on their feet all night, but everyone rushed to the stage when Jason and one of his groomsmen performed “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)”.

Bambi Rodgers, of BCR Events, did a fantastic job creating the couple’s dream wedding.

Destination Austin: Holly and Matt's Wedding

Gerber+Scarpelli went to Austin for Halloween to shoot an amazing destination wedding! Holly and Matt live in Chicago, but were married in Holly's home state of Texas. Matt, his whole family, and most of his groom's men, all from England, found themselves right smack dab in the middle of long horn country. And what beautiful country it was!

After an entertaining morning of poker with the boys, Matt was off to meet Holly on the balcony of the Driskill Hotel.

Then it was off for a nice stroll around the neighborhood to see the sites.

The ceremony was held in the stunning upstairs lobby of the hotel.

The room was beautifully decorated with the help of Tonya from Clink Events. The lighting was by Ilios.

In the spirit of Halloween, we brought along some masks for the bridal party.

Thanks guys for such an awesome time!
