Emily & Christian's October Wedding

Who thought one could fall in love while studying for the bar exam? Emily and Christian found themselves unable to concentrate on their books while studying at Starbucks, because they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other. Thankfully they both were able to buckle down and passed the exam, and soon after Christian popped the question.

The Emily and Christian tied the knot on a beautiful Saturday in October. After seeing each other for the first time, the couple and their wedding party hit the street for some city pictures.

The ceremony and reception took place in the contemporary Sofitel Hotel. Sandy Raphael and Flowers by Joseph did an amazing job with the decorations.

Oh, What a Night!

A few weeks ago we had the privilege of taking part in Lindsay and Jason’s wedding. The entire day was perfect, from the gorgeous couple, to the beautiful fall weather, and elegant Grand Ballroom at the Drake Hotel.

We were excited to see that one of the groomsmen was an old member of the G+S Team, Steve Barston.

Stems did a stunning job decorating the Grand Ballroom.

The Larry King Orchestra kept guests on their feet all night, but everyone rushed to the stage when Jason and one of his groomsmen performed “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)”.

Bambi Rodgers, of BCR Events, did a fantastic job creating the couple’s dream wedding.

Destination Austin: Holly and Matt's Wedding

Gerber+Scarpelli went to Austin for Halloween to shoot an amazing destination wedding! Holly and Matt live in Chicago, but were married in Holly's home state of Texas. Matt, his whole family, and most of his groom's men, all from England, found themselves right smack dab in the middle of long horn country. And what beautiful country it was!

After an entertaining morning of poker with the boys, Matt was off to meet Holly on the balcony of the Driskill Hotel.

Then it was off for a nice stroll around the neighborhood to see the sites.

The ceremony was held in the stunning upstairs lobby of the hotel.

The room was beautifully decorated with the help of Tonya from Clink Events. The lighting was by Ilios.

In the spirit of Halloween, we brought along some masks for the bridal party.

Thanks guys for such an awesome time!

Cool Under Pressure: New Orleans

We were honored to take part in this year’s Pictage Partner Conference in New Orleans. Being in the presence of the new and tried-and-true was inspirational. We had the opportunity to mingle with celebrity photographers, such as Dennis Reggie, Mike Colon, Joe Buissink and Carlos Baez.

Pictage asked Kurt to lead a hands-on shooting workshop. The workshop filled up in 5 minutes, with several people on the waiting list. Kurt took the lucky 25 photographers around the French Quarter, teaching them his techniques and poses he uses with his couples.

Alma and David, our models, rocked the photo shoot. The couple got married in New Orleans two weeks prior to the workshop, in a cowboy/Indian themed wedding. The newlyweds were edgy, fun, energetic, romantic, but most of all not afraid to let loose in front of 25 cameras!!

We are excited to continue our partnership with Pictage!
