Katie & Perry's Special Day

We were honored to take part of Katie and Perry’s gorgeous wedding a few weeks ago. The couple said their “I do’s” at the stunning Ascension Church in Oak Park, then we were off to various Chicago scenic hot spots for pictures.

Their Chicago photos are quite unique. Perry pulled some strings and was able to gain access to the lobby of the Chicago Board of Trade, a G+S first!

The celebration continued into the night at the historic University Club.

Katie and Perry snuck out of the party for some end of the night shots in Millennium Park, which is located directly across from the University Club.

Thank you Katie and Perry!

Big Boy Jake

We shot Sarah and Keith's wedding in the winter of 2005. Ever since then, we have been shooting the special moments in their lives. Soon after Jake was born, we photographed him here in the studio. Now that he's a big boy, we thought it would be fun to get some pictures of him running around doing some of his favorite things.

We are looking forward to the new addition to the family and making even more memories over the years!

Its Out of the Park!

Sarah and James's Wedding was picture perfect!

Sarah started her day at her parent's condo, overlooking the lake. Then it was off to meet James in the same spot where they were engaged, right in front of The Drake Hotel.

Even though it was a cold and windy fall day, Sarah, James and their friends braved to weather for a few beautiful skyline shots before zipping down town to her father's historic office building.

The grand lobby made a stunning and unique background for this beautiful couple.
Both the Ceremony and Reception were held at Cafe Brauer. Nestled in the heart of Lincoln Park, Cafe Brauer is a stunning example of the Arts and Crafts movement. The flowers and room design by Stems complimented all the little details in the architecture.

On the back of the place cards, were their family brownie and sugar cookie recipes. Little jars of brownies and cookies were placed at each table setting.

Just as cute and whimsical as could be, Sarah and James danced for the 1st time to "take me out to the ball game"

This wedding was a Out of the Park Home Run! Thank guys!

Rachel & James' Wedding

Rachel and James ditched the Sunshine state, and traveled to the world’s greatest city for their wedding! We were thrilled to take part in it. They decided to see each other for the first time before the ceremony, which allowed us to capture beautiful images before the weather turned south.

Things got hot when we stopped at the firehouse of Engine 98, just off Michigan Avenue. Thankfully, James and several of his groomsmen are firefighters in Florida, so they were able to contain the sparks between the two.

Their ceremony and reception took place at the Adler Planetarium, which has a magnificent view of the city skyline.

Rachel surprised James with a groom’s cake, which matched his fireman helmet.

Thanks to the help of Ali Phillips, all the stars aligned, making it a picture perfect wedding.

Kristen & John's Rockin' Wedding

Kristen and John threw a rockin’ wedding a few weeks ago, and we were very excited to be a part of it. While Kristen got ready at The James Hotel, John and his groomsmen hung out at Old Town Social, Old Town’s newest addition thanks to John himself, a co-owner. Old Town Social’s antique vibe made it a perfect place for pictures.

After tying the knot at St. Joseph’s, the newlyweds and their wedding party went across town to Union Station for some pictures.

The rainy weather did not stop Kristen and John from capturing some romantic images in the courtyard of the Ivy Room.

With the help of Fleur and Heather Vickery, the Ivy Room transformed into a vibrant fall festival! The Larry King Orchestra kept the dance floor crowed all night, but Jim Peterik stole the show. Peterik co-wrote Survivor’s hit “Eye of The Tiger”. LKO and Peterik treated the guests with a brilliant live performance!

Kristen watched "America's Next Top Model" to help her prepare for her special day.

Thank you Kristen and John for allowing us to be part of your day!
