9 months and counting

We love repeats! We've been photographing Caroline since she was a little peanut. Now she's getting to be a really big girl. It's so much fun to see how much babies change and the speed in which they do it.
See you again in three months Caroline!

Lisa + Gordon

A few weeks ago we got to work with a fantastic couple, Lisa and Gordan at Chicago's newest and hottest addition to the skyline, The Trump Tower. Lisa and Gordon, both work in the hotel industry, so they knew they wanted something fresh and unique. The Trump fit all of their needs as well as providing an AMAZING view from the rooftop bar "Sixteen". Supposedly G+S is the first team that's been able to photograph a couple out on the terrace which of course was a huge privilege.

It was a spectacular event with amazing florals by K La Designs, Cake from Take the Cake, Music by Stitely Entertainment and of course all of it was perfectly coordinated by Darcey of Big City Events.

Big thanks to everyone involved! And a very special thank you to Lisa + Gordon for including us in their special day!

The Knot!

Gerber+Scarpelli has again been honored by the Knot and has a featured wedding by our very own Nick Gerber in the newest regional magazine. It's always great to see your name in print, but it's especially special when it's a client that was an absolute blast to work with. It's also significant to note that we wouldn't have gotten the feature were it not the other great vendors that put their blood, sweat, and tears into making the wedding gorgeous. Not to mention it was at The Chicago History Museum, which makes our job easy!

Natalie Walsh - Hello Darling Florals

Thanks again to everyone and a special thanks to Natasha and Matt for being such a pleasure to work with!!!

Christina & Joey

Drum roll, please! If Christina and Joey's wedding were a restaurant, it would receive five stars! If it were a movie, it would receive two thumbs up! If it were on your report card, their wedding would have earned an A+!

Christina and Joey had their day planned out down to every detail; including programs that doubled as fans for their outdoor July wedding and the balloons that they incorporated into their engagement photo shoot, ceremony, and photos during their wedding day. The lovely couple tied the knot at one of the most beautiful outdoor locations in Chicago: The Cancer Survivors Garden. Then, they had their reception at Fulton's.
I want to know who Christina's dentist is - she has got to have the biggest and most beautiful smile in all of Chicago!

There is something so romantic and natural about the Cancer Survivor Garden. You get the lush pastoral setting right in downtown Chicago. And, you know that anybody who starts their new life there as husband and wife has a huge, caring heart!

Paul and Kelly

So here are a few shots from Paul and Kelly's engagement shoot. We found this awesome mural near one of our favorite places. Kelly is a zoo keeper, and Paul is in construction, so they hand no problem getting their hands dirty for a few cool shots!

Esther & David's Wedding

A little over a month ago, we shot Esther and David's engagement session. Click here to check out their romantic pictures on the UIC campus. Right off the bat we knew their wedding was going to be fabulous! Filled with wonderful details, many which were created by their talented friends, their wedding fully reflected their personalities. Shai, whose wedding we shot in June, was on hand to make sure the wedding ran smoothly. Even their dog Rosie came along to enjoy the day. After the ceremony we went off for a few shots in a nearby park and ended up playing around on the big toy and swings. Then off to the action packed reception. They started with a Korean tea ceremony and a piggy back ride! Touching speeches by friends and family, and great music made the night fly by.

Thanks guys for a wonderful time!

Shai & Tek's Post Wedding City Shoot

At the end of June, we shot Shai and Tek's crazy-fun wedding out in the northwest suburbs. Check out their wedding post by clicking here. They live in the city and really wanted to have a few shots at some of their favorite haunts. Last weekend we went out again and spent a couple of hours shooting downtown. Makeup artist Lillian Toma and hair stylist Keisha Jackson were gracious enough to find time in their busy schedules and doll Shai up again. Shai's sister, Debbie, also joined us to help with the props and costume changes. We started our shoot at Oak Street Beach, just as the sun was beginning to set. Then off to the Wrigley Building, Navy Pier, and Millennium Park. While in the park, we stumbled across The Burnham Pavilions which are part of the centennial celebrations of the Burnham Plan. They are simply stunning and make a magical background for shooting. As the evening came to a close, Shai and Tek were "arrested for being too beautiful" by two Chicago Cops.

Thanks again guys for a wonderful time!

Check back here in a few weeks for Shai's trash the dress photo shoot!

Julie + Sean

This past saturday we had the pleasure of working with Julie and Sean. High School sweethearts of 7 years, everyone agreed it was about time they tie the knot. After pictures at Montrose Harbor, the party continued at the Saddle Cycle Club of Chicago, a beautiful country club with old school Chicago panache. With Colby Beserra  at the helm, the wedding party, family and guests got down like Lionel Richie - All Night Long. Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your day!

Lori & Mark

Our very own Mike and Elizabeth had the honor to photograph the wedding of Lori and Mark. These two were a dream couple: happy, loving, and edgy. They were so down to earth that they even had time to play a quick game of Bags during the day (everyone's favorite game from college, no doubt).
Lori and Mark had their ceremony at St. Joseph's, right here in sweet home Chicago, and the photographers and the couple were even able to commandeer a yacht at Diversey Harbor for some fun photos on the lake!
The natural pastoral backdrops of the Lincoln Park Conservatory always provide for beautiful pictures. After being one with the wild, everyone went to the Chicago History Museum where the newlyweds had their reception.
