This Is Your Film

That is the theme of Kurt and Nick Gerber's Kickstarter Campaign to fund their film project; Operation: Route 66.

Over the next few weeks our very own father and son team will hire editors and begin cutting together the beautiful footage they've collected over the last year and a half. The goal: a documentary film that will entertain and enlighten.

In order to make this happen, however, they need your help and the help of your network of friends and family. With 21 days left to go until the deadline of their Kickstarter project they need to raise $36,000. Kickstarter is an all or nothing platform which means, if they don't meet their goal, they don't get any of the money that people have already pledged.

If you're on the fence we urge you to try the Kickstarter process. Become a backer to either this project or any of the other AMAZING projects on the site. Find something that touches you and pledge your support to it.

For those of you that contribute to this project, you can be proud that you've got a personal stake in a film that pays tribute to the service of millions of brave Americans. It will be the hard work and dedication of you and people like you that make this project possible.

Operation: Route 66 Kickstarter

If you've been following our blog with any regularity over the past year you may have noticed us posting about our very own father and son team Kurt and Nick Gerber making a documentary film! The documentary is about them riding across historic Route 66, connecting with veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and sharing their stories with the American public they served. We're proud to announce they're closing in on the finish of the film. They need your help and the help of your friends, family and social networks to get the funds necessary to edit the film, license music and wrap this thing up! They've started a Kickstarter campaign which you can see here!

The guys would be HONORED if you took a few seconds today to wander over to their Kickstarter page and consider a donation and sharing the project in your social networks!

Kieley & Sanjay's Downtown Winter Engagement Session

Even though it was a little chilly, you gotta love a sunny day in February! We met up with Kieley and Sanjay for a little photo tour. We walked from the Chicago Theater to the Art Institute with a warm up stop at the Cultural Center. As you can probably tell, there was a lot of laughter. We can't wait to shoot your wedding in October!

Lissa & Steven's InterContinental O'hare Wedding

Lissa & Steven tied the knot at The Intercontinental Hotel at O'Hare. The Intcon O'Hare is one of our favorite places to work because of the plethora of cool nooks to make pictures in. Almost every corner is hiding photographic gold! And when you've got a couple as in love as Steven and Lissa, the pictures practically take themselves! With a help from consultant Amanda Weil, flowers from Remiard and tunes from Front of House the day flew by in a rockin flurry! Take a look at some of our favorites from their day!

Whit & Mary's Destination Wedding: Jamaica

Whit and Mary had a luscious destination wedding in Montego, Bay Jamaica.  Their friends and family flew in to celebrate with them at the Rose Hall Great House.  They had the ceremony and reception outside in the beautiful weather.  The couple and their guests danced like crazy!!  It was so nice to get out of the Chicago weather for a bit and enjoy the happiness with these guys!
