Megan+Andy's Intercontinental Wedding

The Proposal: Megan and Andy got engaged on Andy’s birthday! The couple was having a nice dinner at home when Andy suddenly announced that he had a present for Megan. She was quite surprised since it was his birthday! When Megan opened up the present, she saw an engraved puppy collar and immediately knew that Andy had surrendered and agreed to get a puppy together! She was so excited about the prospect of getting a puppy that she did not see Andy get down on his knees. When she looked up, Andy was on his knees with a ring in his hand and he asked Megan to marry him. Not surprisingly, she said yes!

The Wedding: Megan started the day with getting ready at the InterContinental Hotel. Her makeup and hair were by Beauty on Call, gown by Victoria Sdoukos, and shoes by Stuart Weitzman. The Bridesmaids wore dresses from David's Bridal with accessories by Givenchy. The Groom and Groomsmen wore suits from Men's Warehouse.
Then it was time for the ceremony, and we headed to Old St. Patrick's Church where Megan and Andy exchanged vows. After church, we headed out on the town for photographs of the newlyweds and their wedding party. Hitting up the classic spots, Buckingham Fountain, the Board of Trade, and Michigan Ave. before heading back to the InterContinental for the reception. The florals were by Tiffany Schimmerling, video by Chicago Videoworks, Inc., wedding cake by Bittersweet, with entertainment provided by Stitely.
A great time was had by all.
Congrats Megan and Andy!

Heather & Jon's Hotel InterContinental Wedding

What a way to start May! On a foggy Saturday, earlier this month, Heather and Jon tied the knot at a the Hotel InterContinental. We staged their 1st meeting on the tippy top of the hotel, with the city at our feet. From there we were off on a lovely tour around the city. The fog made everything so soft and dreamy. The dream didn't stop, with an intimate ceremony beautifully decorated by Anthony Gowder. As the last sunlight faded, the glow of hundreds of candles warmed up the ballroom for a evening of love, laughter, tons of dancing! Danielle, from Simply Perfect by Melissa, kept everything running of schedule and made sure that no hair was out of place. The team from Beauty on Call made all the ladies look stunning the whole night through. The staff at the InterContinental, as usual, were amazing. Thanks to Heather and Jon for letting us be apart of your fabulous day!

Brides and Blooms

This past Wednesday we had the privilege to participate in Brides and Blooms at the Hotel InterContinental Chicago. The event brought together some of the best vendors in Chicago and was flawlessly orchestrated by Melissa Phillips of Simply Perfect by Melissa. Chris Schmidt and his staff from the InterCon were fabulous as usual. The kitchen staff really outdid themselves with all the yummy hors d'oeuvres. It was great to spend an evening with some of our favorite people including Keith from Poetic Productions and Cheryl from Shutter Booth. Anthony Gowder pulled out all the stops with his gorgeous florals. MFO Entertainment kept everybody movin' and grovin'. Beauty on Call was on hand to make all the guests look and feel their best. Ultimate Bride and Bella Bridesmaid brought the breathtaking dress, and The Left Bank made sure they were accessorized perfectly. Bittersweet and Take the Cake made sure they room smelled of nothing but their sweet confections. And no event is complete without the fabulous designs and witty commentary of Elizabeth Grace. It is such a pleasure to work with all of you year in and year out! Thanks to Melissa for including us, along with such a great group of vendors!
