Morgan And Nathan

Morgan and Nathan were the first couple ever to be married at the Ravinia. The open tent ceremony was spectacular with such a beautiful backdrop. The location was made even better by the wonderfully sunny spring day. With details by A Stem Above and help from Big City Bride the room was elegant and really showcased the natural beauty outside. Nathan and Morgan had a great wedding party, and their families made the party a big hit! Morgan was so excited with our work she sent us a thank you. We always enjoy receiving love from our couples, especially when we have couples as fun as these guys.

Molly & Chris

We had the pleasure of working with Molly and Chris this past weekend.  They had a classic Lincoln Park wedding - they got ready at the Belden Stratford Hotel, got married at St. Clement's, and had their reception at Salvatore's with music by Stitely Entertainment.  

Both of their families were so much fun, and the bunch loved to dance!  Molly and Chris included so many personal touches into their wedding that made it extremely special.  Molly got a hanger that said "Molly & Chris," a porcelain ring dish for their bands, and the place cards, sign in book, and wedding favor coasters all matched.  They put so much thought into their details and got everything from Etsy.

Amanda & Jacob

Last week the Danes invaded Chicago for Amanda and Jacob’s wedding. The couple tied the knot at St. Benedict, and then it was off to take some pictures around the city before ending at Hotel Allegro.

Jacob, who is originally from Denmark, and Amanda kicked off the evening with the Danish Waltz, a G+S first! Toast and Jam kept guests moving their feet throughout the celebration!

Betsy & Jamie

Betsy and Jamie had the perfect weather for the perfect day! We met them at the Cheney Mansion in Oak Park, where Betsy got dressed. The grounds were in full bloom, all the cherry trees were a perfect pink. From there we went off to St Luke's Church in River Forest for the ceremony. There was a surprise bag piper to lead the bride and groom from the church and into the beautiful evening. The reception was held at the Butterfield Country Club, where the room was transformed into a spring garden, filled with tulips and flowering trees.

We were so happy to be able to work with some of our favorite vendors, including Ken and Mike from Poetic Productions, Heather and Katherine from Greatest Expectations, and Natalie Walsh from Hello Darling.

Melinda & Pere

Saturday Gerber+Scarpelli got to work with an AMAZING couple, Melinda + Pere. The stars aligned over their classic Chicago Wedding and we got perfect weather at beautiful weddings in the most gorgeous light we've seen so far this season. The wedding took place at 4th Presbyterian on Michigan Ave before we went over to the Newberry Library for a swingin reception courtesy of the musical stylings of the Becca Kaufmann Orchestra. We were fortunate enough to get the opportunity to work in some of our favorite downtown locations, the courtyard at 4th Presbyterian and the park right across the street from the Newberry. Darcey from Big City Events was on hand to make sure the room looked great with the help of Erin from A Stem Above.  If this is the tone for the rest of the season, it's going to be a GREAT season!

Beth + Nick Wish Upon a Wedding

This past Sunday, Gerber + Scarpelli got to be a part of Beth and Nick's special day and our very first Wish Upon A Wedding.

Lily & Giovanni

Lily and Giovanni actually got married on March 27 in Arizona.  We weren't there to shoot their wedding, but on Saturday we went out and took some photos of them in Uptown before their party at Fat Cat's!

In Arizona, they did a small wedding with a vintage country theme.  In Chicago, they wanted more of a vintage rock n roll feel.

They dressed up again in their clothes from the wedding to get some more shots in Chicago.
