Erin & Drew

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of photographing Erin and Drew’s ultra chic wedding. Currently living in NYC, Erin and Drew decided to skip town and come to back to Erin’s hometown of Chicago for their special day! The couple decided to have their ceremony and reception at one of the most iconic places in the city, the Harold Washington Library.

The Winter Garden Room was transformed into an elegant lounge, with the use of sofas, love seats and chandeliers. The comfortable seating provided guests a perfect spot to rest their feet while they danced the night away.

PSA: Holiday Deadlines

The Holidays are right around the corner, and you need to get a move on!

Here is the lowdown:

-If you want your album by the holidays, you need to get your final picks in and meet with our album designers by September 31st! Please let us know if you need your album by a certain date, and we will do our best. Albums are designed on a 1st come 1st served bases.

-If you have started your album process, you need to have your final approval on your layouts and cover by October 31st

-If you have already met with an album designer and your album is in process, you should be fine, just get those changes in!

-All reprint and holiday card orders need to be in by Thanksgiving

-We do offer rush service on all products, please contact us for details...

Margaret & Greg's Whimsical Wedding

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to shoot a wonderfully fun wedding! Margaret and Greg were married on the Thursday before labor day weekend. Weekday weddings always have their own style, no huge crowds, no problems getting the venues you want. In their case, the two highly sought after venues they snapped up on a Thursday evening were Rockefeller Chapel on the University of Chicago campus, and A New Leaf in Lincoln Park. They filled their event with wonderful details to delight their family and friends. This one goes down as one of the most inventive wedding we have had all year.

Jenny & Jason

We were thrilled to photograph Jenny and Jason’s wedding. The day was full of big smiles, and even bigger hair. The couple and their wedding party struck some posses around the city, before heading to the Adler Planetarium for a scenic ceremony. Thanks to the wonderful Reva Nathan the day went by without a hitch.

Alex and Cassidy

Alex and Cassidy may take the cake for some of the most beautiful details we have had all summer. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Murphy Auditorium, which is a stunning venue. They had a top notch team of vendors, brought together by the lovely Tara of LOLA. You could not ask for a more perfect day and beautiful event!

Alex's bridesmaids made her a box filled with lovely mementos from the wedding process.

Julia + Mike

This week we got to do an engagement shoot with Julia and Mike. We love doing engagement shoots in the fall because the light starts to get a beautiful yellow tint to it. It makes everything so warm and vibrant! Another reason to love fall is the changing of the leaves and the change of wardrobe. With the combination of the fall colors and the cozy look of sweaters, jackets, and turtlenecks it's hard to make a bad photograph. Schedule your engagement shoot today for September or October! You will NOT regret it!

Julia and Mike are tying the knot this October at Café Brauer and using the magnificent Shannon Helmig as their day of planner. There's nothing quite so classic as Café Brauer (Lincoln Park) in the fall. We're looking forward to it!
