TBT! Margaret+Greg's A New Leaf Wedding

TBT! Margaret and Greg are celebrating their five year anniversary today! Here’s a look back at their beautiful 2009 wedding day. Married at U of C Rockafeller Chapel, and their reception was held at A New Leaf. 

Since their wedding day we have seen this family grow to include two young ones, Grant and Pearl, who we get to regularly photograph!

Elizabeth and Robert's Intimate New Leaf Wedding

Having a small wedding has its perks. One of them is getting to use one of the coolest spaces in Chicago, A New Leaf. Elizabeth and Robert did just that! After a lovely ceremony at Old St Pats, it was off to A New Leaf for some pictures around the lovely flower shop before joining the party with their nearest and dearest. Congrats guys!

Love the Love: CS Brides

We are all very excited today here at Gerber+Scarpelli. Not one, but two lovely weddings we shot in the past year made it into CS brides! Thanks to all the vendors who made these events fabulous! And thanks to our amazing clients! 

Tracy & Geoff

Looking for ways to make your wedding standout among the rest? Look no further. Tracy and Geoff put together an unforgettable event at the River East Art Center.

The couple saw each other for the first time at Lily Pond, which is nestled in the heart of Lincoln Park.  The pond allowed for a romantic, secluded and gorgeous spot to see each other. From there, we stopped at A New Leaf (where Geoff proposed) and Olive Park before retreating to the REAC for both the ceremony and reception.

From their vibrant flowers that stood out against the dining tables, to their custom photo cubed hi-boys, to even their giant cupcake, every little detail of Tracy and Geoff's wedding was spectacular. Their wedding such a hit that couple’s ala mater mascot, Sparty, made the trip down from Michigan State to surprise the newlyweds.

With the help of Laura Patterson, from the Ideal Day, the couple put together an all-star team of vendors: Blue Plate, David Rothstein Music, Event Creative, and Redmoon Performers.

Margaret & Greg's Whimsical Wedding

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to shoot a wonderfully fun wedding! Margaret and Greg were married on the Thursday before labor day weekend. Weekday weddings always have their own style, no huge crowds, no problems getting the venues you want. In their case, the two highly sought after venues they snapped up on a Thursday evening were Rockefeller Chapel on the University of Chicago campus, and A New Leaf in Lincoln Park. They filled their event with wonderful details to delight their family and friends. This one goes down as one of the most inventive wedding we have had all year.
