Till death do they part(y)! With that phrase, Chelsey and Phil invited their guests to keep celebrating the night of their wedding. Even though us photographers were gone by then, we're sure the night was a crazy one! Chelsey and Phil had their ceremony and reception at the classic Chicago History Museum. Their flowers were beautiful and Chelsey's brother's band played to entertain the guests before Standing Room Only took over for the reception. Big City Bride planned the event and even though the first attempt at the ceremony was rained out, the second try went smooth as butter!

Tracy & Geoffery
We were so excited when Tracy and Geoffrey came to us with their ideas for the engagement session. They wanted something fun whimsical and that tied in with the colors of the wedding. We really love it when our clients have new and interesting ideas to bring to their event. Check back in the next few months to see what they did with all the amazing images!

Leslie & Joe
Leslie and Joe made their love official with a lovely Friday ceremony at Cafe Brauer. It truly was a spectacle; just about an hour before things were supposed to start, a wild storm rolled through the city. Major amounts of rain, lightning, and thunder graced Chicago to ring in the newlyweds. Luckily, we got great weather after a short while and the party went off smooth as ever. The guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace and viewed a funny slideshow showcasing the lives of the couple.

Aneli & Tim
We knew that Aneli and Tim's wedding was going to a fabulous time even before it started. Aneli was a bridesmaid in one of the hottest weddings we did last year. We were not disappointed! The couple started their day at the Intercontinental Hotel, then off to Notre Dame de Chicago for the beautiful ceremony. Even though the rain threatened, we were able to get a few romantic shots on Michigan Ave, before returning to the Intercontinental for a glamourous reception in the Grand Ballroom.
Love the Love: CS Brides
We are so excited about the CS Brides! A few our favorite weddings from last year made it into the stellar new issue.

Jesse's Girl
Erin and Jesse tied the knot last Sunday in the bride's home town of Lake Forest. Tucked away down a side street, a mile from the beach, the Deer Path Inn has a little bit of the English countryside in the heart of the North Shore. Erin and Jesse took full advantage of the beautiful setting to throw an elegant wedding for their close friends and family. We were so happy to be a part of their picture perfect day and to capture all the unique details and wonderful traditions that brought these families together. Congrats to you both!

Ricky & Matt
Its the love that gets us every time. Ricky and Matt have such a wonderful love story. They met in High School, lost touch, found each other in college and have been together ever since. They were married over Memorial Day weekend in one of the coolest downtown spots; The Metropolitan Club. Nestled near the top of the Sears, um Willis, Tower, the club boasts some of the most spectacular views of the city. Ricky and Matt took full advantage of their perch high in the clouds for their romantic wedding and reception.
We could not have asked for a more picture perfect day and a nicer couple. Everything ran smoothly thanks to some great vendors, including Amy from Blumen and Sue Primer from I Do!
Congrats to Ricky and Matt!

Love the Love: Me: In Focus
The photographers at Gerber+Scarpelli have been getting published in many magazines across the country for years. But it was this recent spread that we got in Me: In Focus this is especially meaningful.
This spread shows photos taken for the organization Wish Upon A Wedding. Wish Upon A Wedding grants a wedding to people with serious illnesses. It was an honor and privilege to be a part of this event, and look forward to doing it again in the future.
To see the full spread, check out Me: In Focus and click to view on their June issue. You can take a look at it online or purchase a hard copy!

Kim & Sam
Kim and Sam had a great wedding a couple weeks ago, and we were honored to be there! They included tons of cute details into their day and had a really sharp color scheme of whites and blues. You can even see the nicknames of the groomsmen embroidered into their custom Nikes! They got married at St. Peter's Lutheran and had their reception at The Westin North.
Lisa & Jason
At Gerber + Scarpelli, we're lucky enough to see and celebrate with all different traditions. This past weekend we got to see a Christian ceremony come together with a Hindu ceremony to create something beautiful and unique! Lisa and Jason met at Michigan State and knew almost instantly that they would end up together. They combined two beautiful traditions of faith into one ceremony which represented their different backgrounds, while at the same time speaking to their unity. After the ceremony everyone took a short break as Lisa changed outfits into another beautiful sari, while the boys all changed into their tuxedos. Then it was time to party - and party they did! It was an amazing time with so much to see and photograph! A BIG thank you to Ali Phillips of Engaging Events by Ali, who helped bring everything together perfectly! Check out their slideshow below!
