Katelyn+Patrick's Germania Place Wedding

The Proposal Story: Patrick and Katie met at Vanderbilt University and then moved to Chicago upon graduating in 2009. They were good friends first and didn't began dating until the end of junior year. Patrick was headed home for the holidays and wanted to celebrate Christmas together on December 22, 2012. We were planning on going to GT Fish (they're somewhat foodies hence the menu) but Pat said He wanted to grab a quick drink at the Nomi bar. Upon arriving they were escorted to the private back room and it was covered with candles and roses with a bottle of champagne. Patrick then popped the question and said he had another surprise. His family was in town from New Orleans and mine from St.Charles waiting to celebrate! We then had a beautiful dinner at Nomi with our families overlooking water tower. It was such a fun night and Katie was very surprised!

The Wedding Day: Katie and Patrick got ready at the Public Hotel. Katie wore a beautiful dress by Augusta Jones, a headpiece by BHLDN, stunning Jimmy Choo heels, and a clutch from GIGI New York. Bridesmaid dresses were by Lula Kate from Bella Bridesmaids. The Groom and Groomsmen wore awesome ties by NOLA Couture.
All the special details were put together by her best friend from High school Jaclyn Duffield, JDetailed Events.
Katie and Patrick pretty much invited every one they ever met to be in the wedding party.
They had 12 couples from all different eras of their lives stand up in their wedding.
After the full mass at St Michael's Church, where the couple exchanged rings by Friend& Co. out of New Orleans, we had time to go to Michigan Avenue and over to the Chicago Theater for some photographs.
Though it was windy, we all enjoyed frolicking for the camera on a spring Chicago day.
The reception at Germania Place was packed and so was the dance floor where the musical stylings of Green Light (Rendezvous Music) kept the house rockin all night long. Kenmare Catering was great as always, the cake by Creme Bakery, flowers by Virginia Wolff, and stationary by Magnificent Milestones.
Congrats Katie+Patrick!
