Kendall+Stephan's School of the Art Institute Wedding

The Proposal Story: Stephan joined the US Navy last March. During that time, He and Kendall had to write letters to each other for three months while he finished Officer Candidate School.  In his letters he told her, the first thing he wanted to do when he came home was to marry her!  When Stephan returned he did just that! Stephan proposed at the Washhouse in Point Clear, Alabama that summer. The entire restaurant was 'in' on the proposal! He did the classic down on one knee move and presented her with a ring from TMC Jewelry, and they celebrated with champagne!

The Wedding Day: Began with getting ready at the JW Marriott in the west loop of Chicago this past Memorial Day Weekend. The wedding was largely planned by Kendall's sister and best friend, Megan. We had the pleasure of photographing Megan's wedding last year, it was great to see her again and now be a part of Kendall's big day!  The girls looked fabulous with makeup and hair done by Pin Me Up Chicago . Kendall's sophisticated gown was by Amsale from Belle Vie Bridal Couture. Wedding shoes by Kate Spadewith jewelry by Deepa Gurnani from BHLDN. Bridesmaid dresses by WToo by Watters from Bella Bianca Bridal Couture, with JCrew accessories. Men's attire by Vera Wang from Men's Warehouse
When the couple was ready they were separately whisked away to Old St. Patrick's Church for their wedding ceremony. After Kendall and Stephan became husband and wife, we headed out around town for some great wedding day photos. We went to the Board of Trade,  Art Institute Gardens, and then finally to the reception at The School of the Art Institute Chicago.  Lovely florals were provided by Stems Chicago, pretty and tasty cake by Cake Sweet Food Chicago, the amazing dinner was catered by Food for Thought. Touching toasts and dinner were followed by entertainment from TVK Orchestra, and later in the dancing all sorts of fun patriotic party favors and American flags filled the dance floor. At the end of the night we stole Kendall+Stephan away from their party for a few minutes to take some end of the night portraits of the newlyweds.

Congrats Kendall + Stephan!

Thank you to Stephan and all the other service men and women who serve our country daily. A special thank you goes out to their families as well. We wish you all the very best.
