Samantha+Denny's Palmer House Wedding

The Proposal: Denny proposed to Samantha in Santa Ana, California, on the 2-year anniversary of their first date. She had no idea it was coming. Denny did some amazing planning with Samantha's friend, Terri, who helped direct Samantha to the very restaurant of their first date, The Gypsy Den. Samantha still did not see it coming. As Samantha walked by, Denny popped out of a bush on crutches, as he had recently broken his ankle. He hobbled onto one knee and asked Samantha to marry him. The entire conversation was recorded on a GoPro (with audio as well) and Samantha could be heard saying famous lines such as, "I'm going to vomit" and "are you fucking kidding me?". Not her proudest moment, but sometimes shock can do that to you! She obviously said yes, and the two are as happy as can be!
The Wedding: The day revolved around the Palmer House Hilton and was planned by the talented Shannon Gail. Samantha's makeup and hair were by Tamara and Melanie of Tamara Makeup+Hair Artistry. Her dress was by Casablanca from Here Comes the Bride, shoes by Franco Sarto from Nordstrom, and jewelry from Here Comes the Bride. The Bridesmaid's wore outfits of their choosing, with the Groom and Groomsmen wearing suits from Men's Warehouse. After getting ready, Samantha and Denny shared an adorable first look and then we continued outside to Millennium Park for some photographs before returning to the Palmer House for the ceremony and reception. Florals were by StemLine Creative, catering was taken care of in house by the Palmer House, and cake was a NY style cheesecake by Take the Cake. Reception entertainment was by the Tom Christie Band, and everyone had a great time.
Congrats Samantha and Denny!

Riane+Jacob's Winter Rookery Wedding

The Proposal: It was Riane's 25th birthday in  June 2013. The couple had taken the day off of work, and were spending a long weekend in the city. Riane and Jacob were enjoying the June Chicago weather. She thought they had birthday dinner plans that evening, but Jacob had a different plan. They got ready a little early, and decided to walk around before heading over to Blackbird for dinner. Riane and Jacob love to walk through Seneca Park, one of the couple's favorite parks in the city.  Her dad used to take her there weekly when she was little.  Jacob decided to walk Riane through the park and when they were half way through the park Jacob got down on one knee and asked if Riane would marry him. Of course with tears running down both of their faces, Riane said yes! There were a few people in the park, and they all started clapping. It was a magical moment in a place that means so much to Riane, and now to Jacob. As they left the park Jacob revealed they weren't going to Blackbird for dinner, but instead were going to Greek Town to meet her parents, sisters, and brother.  Newly engaged, they arrived at the Parthenon to see all their closest family and friends were all there.  Jacob had planned the perfect engagement for Riane! Riane's parents then gave them a wonderful engagement party.
The Wedding: The day started with getting ready at the W City Center. Riane's makeup was by Antonette White, and hair by Maxine's Salon. The Bride's gown was Hayley Paige from Bella Bianca Bridal Couture, with shoes by Angela Nuran, and jewelry from Lori Frantz Koenig. The Bridesmaid's wore JLM Couture dresses and they chose their own shoes and accessories. The Groom and Groomsmen wore tuxes from GQ Tuxedo. After getting ready, we headed over to Old St. Patrick's Church for Riane and Jacob's ceremony. After the flawless ceremony, we took the newlyweds and their wedding party out on the town for some night time portraits. Visting favorites, Board of Trade, Chicago Theater, and Kinzie St. Bridge before heading to the Rookery for the reception.
Florals were by Ryan Turner of Stemline Creative, catering by Jewell Events Catering, cake by Amy Beck Cake Design, entertainment by The Mix, draperies by Art of Imagination, and late night snacks from The Rolling Bean.

Congrats Riane and Jacob!
